STREET CHURCH KIDS  HOPE FOR HUNGER & HEARTS  

Each Sunday evening at Street Church Kids of all ages gather for  music, ministry and "a meal",    welcomed  by our dedicated team of professional volunteers -pastors, chaplains, teachers, nurses, ministry  leaders,  civic leaders, youth groups, missions groups,  and caring volunteers of all ages who are  passionate about reaching out with a mesaage of life changing hope and making an eternal  difference in children's  lives. Whether it is providing hot chocolate,popsicles, crafts, music,  reading materials,drama, a snack, or just encouraging them, the ultimate goal, is to be a resource of faith and hope filled mentors for these children.     
Street Church Kids is committed to  lead children and youth toward a  strong, secure, life-changing hope through faith based  resources, and  life need resources.
The life circumstances and concerns of these children-youth ,  ages infant-high school are sometimes unbelievable however, as  our compassion becomes action  and they  have someone  take time with them, 
 encourage them, help them and give them hope for their hunger, they will be hope filled and forever changed. 
 

In our beautiful, thriving, food overwhelmed "Greenville" how can it be that there are children who are daily faced with hunger happening to them! It is not just a thought it is REALITY to 1 of every 6 children.
In the 40 square mile radius of just the White Horse Road corridor, in Greenville, there are approx. 80,000 people where 9 of every 10 school age children are living in under resourced and impoverished life circumstances. Indications from the area schools are that 93% of students are food in secure.
The startling fact is that this percentage does not reflect any data concerning the thousands of other children
in our city's neighborhoods who daily live food under resourced, food insecure,at risk,struggling,homeless -living in sheltered housing, area hotels, vehicles, and many totally without any shelter or housing. School age children are candidates for "possible" provision of nutrition , "if " food is received from the breakfast and lunch program they "possibly" receive during the school year- however they have no provisions of of a nutritious hot meal in the evenings, weekends or during the summer.
Even though there are active agencies in Greenville who provide for many areas of the struggling,there remains a great need that is not being met, to alleviate hunger in the lives of children ages infant-pre school and school age, a one of its kind , in our city

THE STREET CHURCH KIDS KITCHEN WILL BE THE ONLY KNOWN IN THE US EVENING MEAL CENTER FOR CHILDREN TO BE PROVIDED A NUTRITIOUS HOT MEAL
.IN A SAFE,, CARING, HOPE FILLED ENVIRONMENT .
